Choosing the right event photographer is very important. Choosing the right wedding photographer (for some people) can be one of the more stressful things on your wedding to-do list. Find someone you like and can connect with, someone who knows what they’re doing, and more importantly, that you like their photography style.
Every photographer has his or her own style. When thinking about who would capture our big day, we ruled me out because it was going to be hard to take photos and participate in the wedding 🙂 But in all seriousness, we wanted someone who could take great candid shots and the first person that came to mind was our friend, Beth.
As mentioned at the start of our series, most of the wedding photos featured in our series were taken by her. At the very beginning, we sat down with Beth and discussed what we were looking for: the types of shots, family portraits, and other details we wanted to capture. We even set up a shared, secret Pinterest board for inspiration. She has a great eye for capturing candid and moving shots. I’m always amazed at some of her Instagram photos and others she posts to her social accounts. And somehow, without three other photographers running around, she captured some really great moments and we are so happy with the shots!
